Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and songwriter. She was raised by her mom in the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist insults, she was made to feel unwanted. When she attended a 9th grade school audition, where she received praises for her singing as she built confidence. The event not only helped her gain confidence but changed her outlook on the future. In 1992, she received her degree from New York's Julliard School. She began her career at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. The character of The lad from The Lake is her greatest breakthrough, bringing her the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her performance. In 2007 she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. Apart from being an acclaimed singer she has released two solo albums and a longer piece. She's also an activist who works hard for LGBT rights.
