Lisa Olivia Munn is a native of Oklahoma City. The mother of her child, Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam and has Chinese ancestry, while her father, Winston Barrett Munn, is from a family with deep roots in The American South. Olivia's parents separated at the age of two. She grew up with her mother, who served in the United States Air Force, and her stepfather. While the family left Oklahoma and lived in a variety of areas, she was raised in Tokyo, Japan. She appeared in local theater productions throughout this time as well as becoming a actress for Japanese business. Olivia has relocated with her family to Los Angeles in order to fulfil her dream to be an actress was determined to pursue that goal even after her family returned to America. Following a handful of small roles, her career took an extremely promising direction when she landed the role of Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2006) as well as the part of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan (2007).
