Luciana Paoluzzi was born in Rome and raised in Rome by her parents. The father of her was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian officer of the army. Maria Rota Paoluzzi was one of Benito Mussolini's mistresses. Her siblings are unknown. She was in a local high school. Upon matriculating in 1955 she studied naval engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan - Luciana was the only woman in the class. Following two years of modeling, she was offered a role in Three Coins in the Fountain. The film was her debut. Brett Halsey was the first person she was married. He is an actor. They made Return to the Peyton Palace following their wedding in 1960. Luciana was given custody of Charles, born 13 June 1961. The couple split the following year. Luciana had a long-term relationship with Tony Athony. He was an actor and film producer. Tony was inspired by Luciana's role in Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
